My interest for By Terry is definitely growing here on the blog. As I explore the product ranges more my love is definitely deepening for the brand. I think I bought my first product around 3 years ago. A mini of the Balme de rose lip balm if I remember correctly. I was instantly drawn to the By Terry stand in Space NK after having hearing some wonderful things from fellow By Terry lover Lydia Millen Gordan. I can remember admiring the beautiful sleek packaging, minimalistic but captivating. I’m not one to rush into beauty purchases so I opted for something small to try and you cant really go too far wrong with a lip balm can you? and from that day I was a By Terry convert.
By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra Foundation Review
I spotted the new hydra foundation when I was looking into buying the CC summer palette. As always I wanted to research a bit more. Obviously we cant get colour matched at present in stores so picking the correct shade was always going to be a gamble. But low and behold I got the right shade for my skin tone, 300N (Neutral/medium fair) As always the product comes in the sleek By Terry packaging. Suitable for all skin types this SPF 30 weightless hydrating foundation gives a sheer to full coverage. I apply using a sponge and its an absolute dream to work with, with the most beautiful silky consistency. On my first application I didn’t use a primer (rushed application). I have a very oily t-zone. Unfortunately it did disperse after a few hours around the nose which left me feeling rather disappointed. The next day I used my mattifying Note cosmetics primer to my oily areas. This made a huge difference in terms of longevity much to my delight. I would also note that starting with a smaller amount and building is the perfect way to apply this product, I certainly don’t need as much as I would use when applying my usual foundations. Finish wise it gives a lovely healthy dewy look which I crave. (who doesn’t) I haven’t felt the need to powder over the foundation after applying especially as i’m using a mattifying primer. I definitely don’t want to lose any of that healthy glow.
To summarise it is a really beautiful product with fantastic skincare properties which I love being in my forties. It is rather pricey at £40 but it is a higher end product which does offer goodness as well as coverage. It available to buy direct from By Terry and also Space NK and other UK retailers. Now what do I buy next eh?
