Holy Grail Beauty Products

Having worn makeup now for 25 years I have had my fair share of buyers remorse and also joy. I am definitely one for a good recommendation. In fact, I have found some of my favourite products by either reading blog posts on them or hearing a friend mention how fabulous they are. Those products that leave you with a massive grin on your face. Knowing that this is one product you will reach for time and time again. Today I’m going to talk about my holy grail beauty products and I am also featuring some products that my blogger friends love.

Holy Grail Beauty Products

I actually have a few holy grail beauty products that I reach for time and time again for a multitude of reasons. Now being in my 40’s I am trying to steer towards products that nourish my skin and enhance my looks. I have a huge collection of beauty products ranging from the cheaper range up to high end. I’m going to focus on 2 of my favourite lines today.

The Ordinary

Holy Grail Beauty Products

Lately, my focus has been on incorporating products from The Ordinary range into my beauty regime. A fabulous brand which is super affordable but that is also very effective. The brand falling under the Deciem umbrella was created to offer clinically effective products. The range doesn’t compromise on quality and is paraben free and not tested on animals. Over the last few months, my collection has grown. Mostly due to the fact that these products actually work. If you’re searching for a combination for your skin type The Ordinary website has a fantastic guide on which products you should use. To see the regime guide click here.

Soleil Tan De Chanel

Holy Grail Beauty Products

After seeing much hype about the Chanel Tan De Soleil I decided to invest in the product myself. The product is a  super luxurious creamy bronzer. My experience is that using a  cream based bronzer is much better on my skin than using powders. Especially with the added addition of fine lines. I have been using the Chanel Tan De Soleil for a number of months now and to be honest I have hardly made a dent in the pan. From an affordability stance its well worth it. I use mine predominantly for contouring but it can also be swiped over the entire face for the lovely summer glow which we all crave.

My Blogger Friends Holy Grail Beauty Products

L’Oreal True Match Foundation – This is the perfect everyday foundation with a buildable coverage. It comes in a wide range of shades to suit all skin tones. Super blendable and the finish is beautiful without looking cakey – Katie from The Burning Wick

My holy grail beauty product is Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 by The Ordinary! I have dehydrated skin so it really helps to moisturise and plump my skin, leaving it feeling soft and nourished. I use a few drops every morning and evening as part of my daily skincare routine, I’ve found it leaves my skin feeling hydrated and my makeup goes on so much better when I use this serum! – Charlotte from Charlotte’s Makeup Blog

My holy grail mascara is without doubt, the Clinique high impact curling mascara. It’s not a product I EVER hear mentioned in the blogging world but it’s honestly brilliant! It’s not high street prices though at around £21 a pop but I always think it’s worth the splurge. I find it really adds length as well as a defined curl to my lashes and holds them in place ALL day! The curved wand makes it easier to coat every lash from root to tip! – Emma from Scientist In The City

My holy grail item is the Catrice liquid camoflague hd concealer. It’s lovely and light and doesn’t sit in my little fine lines. If I set it with a powder it stays all day and doesn’t crease. It doesn’t feel heavy on the eyes either and with it being only a few pounds it’s definitely my go to – Alison from Passions and Preening

My holy grail product and one that I will forever repurchase is the Brow Wiz by Anastasia Beverly Hills. This cult product is a dream to use. The fine tip makes brow shaping a doddle even for beginners. There is a great shade range to suit all skin tones and the long wearing formula doesn’t budge throughout the day! This is one product that deserves the hype! – Lynsey from Little Luxuries By Lynsey

My holy grail product has to be the Pixi glow tonic. If you’re skins feeling dry or suffering from a bit of texture, glow tonic will do the trick. Now I haven’t used any of the cheaper alternatives, yet. But I will, going on the hunt for them. I tend to use it more at night and then in the mornings I can tell the difference. My makeup sits so much nicer on the skin and anything that can do that, I’m all for it. Believe the hype, it’s well and truly worth it. – Lauren from Lauren Catherine

My holy grail product is the Boots No7 stay perfect foundation. It comes in 17 different skin tone shades so there is a shade to suit everyone. The foundation applies so well and lasts all day without caking or sliding off the face. It is perfect for all skin types from dry to oily and at £15.00 for 30mls it doesn’t break the bank. – Victoria from Dotty Diamond Blog

My holy grail product is Double wear nude. Double Wear Nude went on my skin like no other foundation I’ve ever used. It’s runny like water but applied with fingers it immediately evened out my skin-tone. The first day I used it I tried it with powder products and it just didn’t sit that well; so the next time I used cream bronzer and it married up like a dream. – Wendie from Lurganista

If you’re looking for a treat to add to your bathroom shelves that doesn’t break the bank, Temple Spa have you covered. It’s not often I claim a product is a Holy Grail item but their In The Beginning, Deep Cleansing Melt is just that. With its sleek packaging and indulgent scent, this balm-like product screams high-end without the price tag. It’s a luxurious spa treatment at home that you need to get your hands on. – Gillian from Eyelinerflicks

The word holy grail is bandied about a lot these days but this moisturiser is my ride or die. The Nip + Fab Kale Fix Moisturiser has saved my skin. I’m extremely dry and nothing rehydrates & softens my skin like this bad boy. I honestly could not do my daily skin care without it! Would 100% recommend if you are on the drier side! – Sarah-Louise from Sarah Louise Writes

I usually use powders rather than cream based bronzers. This sounds like something I may quite like. Sounds like it will last ages too.

I absolutely also adore The Ordinary products, so much so that my collection is growing. I especially love their Vitamin C suspension 30% now that it doesn’t have that gritty feel.
Love all the tips on here too, I might try a few:-)

I don’t really use beauty products but I definitely seek out the opinions of people I know when buying new things as I tend to trust their word more.
