Products That Aid Training

Since I had my surgery in June I haven’t trained as much as I used to. Next week I’m back at the gym, either doing classes or weight training. Training for me is very much a source of relaxation, letting go and rebalancing. There is nothing better than that after training buzz when you feel amazing and ready to face the day head-on. Today I’m featuring some products that aid training. As always I wouldn’t feature anything that I don’t really rate. So if your a mum/person who likes to train I do hope you will something helpful.

Body Rip

Body Rip is a well-established fitness online retailer which provides high-quality equipment and sports accessories to consumers. I have been using a few of their items for a number of weeks now and I’m really impressed by the overall design and high-quality finish.

Protein Shaker

When I train I bring a protein shaker to the gym for straight after my workout. It’s important to add protein after training to aid the repair and growth of muscles. The Body Rip protein shaker is great in the way it’s been designed. Obviously, protein is much better taken when activated ie protein powder mixed with milk/milk and the Body Rip shaker has separate twist on/off containers on the bottom which allow you to carry your protein separately to your water. This is one thing that I look out for when I’m buying a shaker as it makes my life so much easier plus saves mess etc in cars/gyms measuring scoops etc. The shaker that I’m featuring costs only £6.95 which I feel is great value.

Body Rip Training Gloves

Products That Aid Training

I always thought that weightlifting gloves were for men, I was so wrong. When I started lifting weights I noticed calluses on the hands. To prevent these gloves are fantastic. I use them every time I train as a preventative measure. These gloves come in a few different sizes and are very comfortable to wear. They also come with a handy adjustable wrist strap meaning you get the correct fit for you. Priced at £10.99 yet again a very affordable option to add to your gym accessory collection.

You guys will know I’m a huge advocate for organic/natural/ eco-friendly items so its only fitting that I share some fitness underwear with you. When I’m training I wear what’s comfortable. There is nothing worse than feeling restricted or uncomfortable. Coupling this with my love for the environment and wanting to include as many ethically sourced items as possible into my wardrobe these came as a very welcome addition. The shorts are so so soft, they have a fantastic design and most importantly they are super comfortable. They are also antibacterial, 95% bleach free, suitable for all sporting activities and odour repelling.

Grenade Carb Killa

There are so many forms of protein on the market now which is great. I love having a protein bar in my gym bag or to have in between meals for that extra amount of protein. The range available is fantastic as it caters to so many different tastes. The joy of a protein bar is sometimes you feel like your being really naughty when your not 🙂 I love the taste of the fudge brownie bar but it also comes in peanut butter, jaffa cake, banana, chocolate cookie etc. You can buy them individually or a box.

Igluu Meal Prep Containers

Products That Aid Training

We try and meal prep as much as possible when taking our training seriously. This means Stuart has meals for work and I have lunches etc ready in the fridge. The easiest way to portion everything out is by using meal prep containers. These are probably the best that we have tried. Really good design/good size for a lunch/dinner. Dishwasher and microwaves friendly and with snap-on lids to avoid spillages etc. When I bulk make I just line up my prep boxes and measure out each food into a box. This makes my life so much easier. These are also great for storing any types of foods even when you aren’t trying to portion control etc. They also come in a variety of sizes as well.

It’s good to know what products can help with training. The gloves are a great idea to help improve grip when holding weights etc.

I like the sound of the gloves. They’d be handy for whenever I use the rowing machine as it gives me blisters after a while.
